Thanks to everyone who showed up for the great night out in Toronto last night @ the TRANE STUDIO. What a hoot!!!!! Kat Goldman and Pascal Labillois were excellent openeners and the video work from Rocket Ace Moving Pictures was VERY well received (Matt/Brad and Rob - gr8 job). Thanks LIZ for working the door. Andy Shoniker and Andrew Mason rocked out on drums and bass in my set (thanks guys!). It was excellent to see so many people pack into the joint. I hope to do it again! It will be awhile until we get back to do another Toronto show, so THANKS for making this TO night really memorable. And thanks to those who went drinking with me til the wee hours to finish the night….. xo

This Wed July 26th - TORONTO - come on down to the cool TRANESTUDIO link on Bathurst north of Bloor (964 Bathurst) for my only Toronto appearance of the year!!! The Jeff Straker trio (piano/bass/drums) will be performing songs from my current CD as well as previewing some from the upcoming album I’m working on this winter. Show starts at 8.30 with openers Pascal Labillois link and Kat Goldman link - 2 local singer-songwriters who have great things going on - Following that, the evening will also feature videos from our friends at Rocket Ace Moving Pictures link including music videos and a few shorts of their own. One of the videos is for my song WALK AWAY - which we recently shot in Muskoka, Ontario. Another is the WORLD PREMIERE of the video I QUIT by “Biz-R Love Triangle” (featuring Jeff on vocals) The trio will go on at approx. 9.30. Come for the whole evening - it’s going to be a great time. Trane opens for business at 6.30 so go early and eat/drink before the show! Admission is by donation. easy!

HIGHWAY CABARET! 8pm start. Elbow Civic Centre. I’m sharing an evening of entertaining with Leanne Hynd (and her band), in the beautiful town of Elbow Saskatchewan. July 28th will see the Civic Centre transformed into a wonderful cabaret experience by the Arts Council of Elbow. Food, drink, and music under one roof! Tickets are $10 in advance and $12 at the door. The event will sell fast - last time Leanne and I shared a show we sold out 2 nights in a row. You won’t be disappointed!
