First gig on the prairies-what a night!
April 29, 2008
Thanks to the arts council in Langenburg Saskatchewan we had an amazing first night performing songs from the new album. The band was really tight and made such a good noise. The show was done as a 6-piece with piano, bass, drums, guitar, cello, backing vocals and the audience was so warm and receptive. The 2 sets FLEW by, we got a standing ovation and then finished off the night with a rockin’ encore. Thanks so much to those in attendance. It was the best way to kick off the touring of this new CD. Thanks to the band for performing so well!

Brad the web-guy here! Just wanted to thank everyone for putting up with the intermittent glitches over the past two days as I rolled out the new web-design.
This is the fourth major overhaul for Jeffstraker.com since it launched, and I think it’s probably my favourite design to date.
With it you’ll notice there’s a whole bunch of new information now available about Jeff’s new album “Step Right Up”, including the three great tracks now playing on the main page!
The two areas of the old site that will take a little bit of time to bring over are all the photo albums, and Jeff’s past shows - but I’ll do my best to get everything over in the next couple of days.
In the meantime if you notice anything odd, or have strange browser quirks feel free to drop me a line (webmaster @ this domain).
Have a great Spring everyone!
Proper gestation takes patience…!

The new CD is coming along slowly but surely (as it should)! I’m excited to be able to share the new recorded songs with everyone very soon. In addition to recording, editing, mixing and mastering the CD, we’ve been working really hard at other stuff too. Designer Heidi worked up some great new artwork for the album, webmaster Brad is working like a demon in the background creating a completely new face for us on the web that I’m sure you’ll like, photographer Pascal has done some wicked photo shoots, concert dates are being booked and all the rest of it. If you’d like a concert of the new songs to take place near you, drop us a note at jeff@jeffstraker.com. Also check out some of the dates that are always being updated here on the calendar on this site. The CD will be available on this site first - as a mail-order purchase via paypal - with digital sales on i-tunes, puetracks etc. following after that. National cataloguing will also soon be done to have it available with every music retailer in Canada. Check back for updates and watch for the launch of the new website!
