It’s a huge honour to get recognized by the Canada Council for the Arts! I got word that I’ve been awarded grant funding to support my touring. This goes a long way to keeping me on the road performing my songs across Canada and I’m sending out a big Thank-You to the jury for including me. We’re lucky to have the Canada Council – along the way they’ve supported so many artists & musicians helping to grow their careers. Some of them include names you might recognize: Sarah McLachlan, Leonard Cohen, KD Lang, Arcade Fire, James Ehnes, Feist, Loreena Mckennitt, and tonnes of other lesser known folks. In an era where we’re FINALLY re-seeing the idea of being proud to be ‘canucks’ and boosting our economic and cultural engines, the Canada Council is helping out in a big way. Thank-You!
