Flights are booked! I can’t wait to play the awesome Folk on the Rocks festival in Yellowknife NWT this summer. I’m traveling up with Bryn Besse who will join me on guitar for our sets on July 18 and 19. The sun sets around 11pm at that time of year and the sky doesn’t get completely dark; there’s perpetual twilight through the night. When I was up in Resolute Bay Nunavut a few years back it was January and there was no daylight at all. Looking forward to some more great northern experiences! And I’ve discovered some more Straker musicians up there too. We’re related and the whole 9 yards, what a small world.
