At first I didn’t quite believe it, but it is indeed true – my latest album “Great Big Sky” ended up making its way to Buckingham Palace and was hand delivered to King Charles himself. In a message I received I learned that he was “touched” by the song ‘Better than What we Found’ on the album. The song was commissioned by the Lieutenant Governor of Saskatchewan His Honour Russ Mirasty to help Sask. celebrate the King’s Coronation. The King also sent well wishes my way for a successful tour of the UK, which I performed Oct 22-Nov 11. By total coincidence I was in London when I received the message. The story of the King’s communication hit the radar of several Canadian news outlets and even landed on the CBC National News – a real thrill.
