I\’ve recently placed in the top 5 in the national \’Communities of Note\’ songwriting competition. The song \”Prairie Tune\” from my first (Country/Folk) release \”Middle of Somewhere\” caught the judges ear. Speaking of judges, they included: Sony\’s Edwin of \’I, Mother Earth\’,Fred Turner of Bachman-Turner Overdrive, Dale Russell of The Guess Who, Mitch Dorge of The Crash Test Dummies, Hitmaker Eddie Schwartz, as well as Singer-Songwriter Artemis – to name a few. Part of the recognition of being a finalist includes having my lyrics and music included in a new songwriting curriculum package being developed for secondary school students across Canada.
