Strong Showing in National Song Contest

I’ve recently placed in the top 5 in the national ‘Communities of Note’ songwriting competition. The song “Prairie Tune” from my first (Country/Folk) release “Middle of Somewhere” caught the judges ear. Speaking of judges, they included: Sony’s Edwin of ‘I, Mother Earth’,Fred Turner of Bachman-Turner Overdrive, Dale Russell of The Guess Who, Mitch Dorge of The Crash Test Dummies, Hitmaker Eddie Schwartz, as well as Singer-Songwriter Artemis – to name a few. Part of the recognition of being a finalist includes having my lyrics and music included in a new songwriting curriculum package being developed for secondary school students across Canada.
