Telemiracle – a new record! Wow!

I had the honour of hosting and performing on Kinsmen/Kinette Telemiracle this year once again – it was my 15th YEAR with the telethon. In just 22 hours a new record was reached, in raising over 10.5 MILLION dollars. Generous folks across Saskatchewan (and beyond) phoned in pledges & donated on-line. Donations also came in the form of corporate giving, Kinsmen/Kinette Club donations, as well as amounts left in people’s wills (called ‘Bequests’). It all added up to the VERY wonderful grand total. Thanks to each and every person who donated something – a little or a lot – as it all adds up. Thanks to the 500+ Kinsmen/Kinette volunteers who were the core labour force bringing the telethon to life. Along with others who gave their time, the total volunteer-pool was close to 1000. This thing is such a team effort and I love being able to be one small part of it! All dollars raised go to the Kinsmen Foundation and help provide medically related travel and access to medical devices for folks who otherwise couldn’t afford it. RING THOSE PHONES!
